There is no formula that I am aware of, as the same a/c on a paved runway versus a grass runway would react differently. The springs I normally use are stock springs that are available through my materials suppliers, and they usually work fine, but I also can get “die springs”, which are a good bit stiffer… in some cases, we wind up using part of one spring, and part of another, with different stiffness, making sort of a two-stage compression spring setup. For instance, using 1/2 of the spring you currently have, along with 1/2 of one of the stiffer ones, will get you the amount of stiffness you need… as a general guide, I prefer it take about 3/4 of the a/c weight to compress one strut, which allows for a slight amount of compression when taxiing on a rough field. I used a lot of retracts over the years flying, before I started making them myself, and never liked the really stiff springs that some manufacturers use, as the had no real shock-absorbing value, and might as well have been solid struts, because on most landings, they didn’t compress any noticeable amount…

Интересна тема по двуcтупенчатым стойкам - и работают в нормальном диапазоне нагрузок как положено, и от пробоя держат в нештатном.
Но мне нравится в целом ход его мысли - затачивать матчасть, исходя из комфортных условий штатной эксплуатации, а не “на случай, если лодка перевернется”.
да, насчет перевернутой лодки то я и не думал, просто надо ж было от чего то оттолкнуться. кстати, сравнительно гибкие стойки на моей сушке делают посадку очень натуральной, плавной. но с композитными я вроде руку набил, а вот с этими хотелось примерно того же, что бы не гремел на посадке и не просаживал стойки при малейшем чихе, а 1,5 веса, как видно, нормалек…
вот сейчас хвостовой занимаюсь, для разминки, с ней то вроде проще, и переделать, если что недолго, композитная вся 😃, кроме амортизатора.
Можно кстати увидеть как выглядит ваша композитная задняя стойка? Сам мучаюсь вопросом ее изготовления, за неимением станков, вытачиват из ДТ16 вручную тяжко:(, вот тоже прикидываю как можно обойти этот момент.
доделаю - покажу, так как пока полуфабрикат ну очень не призентабален 😃
