This new brushless motor features the same performance specifications as its predecessor, but with several design improvements:
A shorter can design, allowing the use of shorter standoffs for mounting
An integrated cooling fan, replacing the removable on found in V1 motors. Integrating the fan ensures that the motor always gets proper cooling, without an added weight penalty.
The front bearing has been removed, which reduces weight and increases the overall efficiency of the motor.
Backwards compatibility with the V1 motors
