DragonLink shop sells the same v2 DOSD+ just only less memory. That is the difference.

Mike sells older version of DOSD+ not fair price. He has ordered 100 DOSD+ v2 sets long time ago for another purpose, but came to sales…
The difference is only less memory for GPS logs (twice less).
So you can go for it for sure if he still has some!

One guy is sending us ArduIMU v3. We will try to make it work with DOSD (no need translator board to connect ArduIMU with DOSD+).
So this is just firmware modification should do the trick.

I had gps tracker installed in the airplane. so just phone call and I have gps coordinates for search and rescue 😃

They have changed all the sensors to much better ones (digital, as it was analog in v2 version).
uses much better technology as I am use to now. And I think v3 is promising one for future use!

Guys, I think ArduIMU v3 will be good enough with DOSD+ just need to modify firmware for that! and it will be connected directly to DOSD+ without any translator boards.
Actually could do that, but those v3 are out of stock everywhere 😦

At the moment, we need Atmel to do conversions UART to I2C. (Arduino or ArduIMU works OK for that task).

А как подключаете fy30 вместе с остальными девайсами к телеметрии? Ну что бы не было конфликтов между FY30+Ardu и датчиками скорости и высоты.
ArduIMU connects the same way as it was (I2c 3 wires). FY-30 use only 3 wires too (gnd, +ve, tx) into ArduiMU.
ArduIMU, baro and speed sensor connects in parallel with DOSD+ no problem with this one.
I will make diagram and few pictures how to do that.

А еще какие-нибудь разработки ведутся? просто FY20a имеет довольно плохую репутацию, и немного страшно, что и 30я может заглючить в самый неподходящий момент…

Yep. other I2C devices will work as it was before.
I am talking about Fy-30A not 20 😃 So far FY-30 works much better as Fy-20.
Smaltim isn’t doing anything with his IMU yet… so there is no way to try it if it isn’t available yet 😃

If you are asking DOSD+ and FY-30A, then need Arduino to convert data between them.
If for video setup (that’s what i don’t want to talk, it was so bad 😁 just took unused items for very fast setup)

P.S. John is working on DOSD+ firmware to accept FY-30 directly to DOSD+ UART (TTL) port, without anything else.

I don’t want to talk much about my setup now 😁 took everything from my desk and put into empty airplane (setup was done in 5min). I think Lawmate 2.4ghz 500mw needs to adjust that know (video level too high/low I think). But just made a test without any patch or so…
I was using Arduimu as Arduino based board. Now will do that with Arduino Mini Pro (3.3v version only suitable, as I2C on dragon osd+ is 3.3v ).
The code will be available after a weekend. If planing to get FY-30, do that, because they will be out of stock soon 😃
Firmware and connections diagram will be published in DOSD+ (RCGroups) tread and Tsebi forum (where Daniel puts all info about his projects).

You need just FY-30 and Atmel (I used ArduIMU as it was not used and have it)
had to program a little bit to adopt to DOSD+ needs.
Everything will be posted: firmware for Atmel mcu, wirings and etc! I must get new FY-30 firmware with 10Hz data rate, test it and decide if it suitable for DOSD or not 😃

My test flight with FY-30. refresh rate is just 4Hz (as you can see).
Waiting for FYETECH new firmware with 10Hz (this is the max they offer). Will test it and give feedback here!

I have some news (not posted to RC Groups yet, so lets keep it in secret so far).
Dragon Tracks (ground station) is in my hands ( I mean just project), me and my friend (electronics engineer) are working on it! Now we are building the prototype board, planing what should be there!
2nd project is: AHI. In few days I’ll come up with a video of test flight with it. So far promising better results as it was with ArduIMU 😃

Using Fatshark goggles with 40mw 2.4ghz video without any ground station and no ground recording. Just GoPro does the job.
Transmitter is Futaba 9c 72mhz with stock rx. Nothing else 😃

Yep. Using Fatshark 2.4ghz (2011 model) with 40mw video tx. No ground stations or so… just video goggles, Futaba 9chp super with 72mhz module, rc rx default Futaba synthesized. Camera Petite (from Hobbywireless, similar ar sn777. This camera is very noisy for UHF and GPS, so just for simple setup is useful), GoPro in r5 mode (1080i, less distortion in video).
Airplane is made in Lithuania, one guy is making them for sale, if someone needed one. Usually I order the exact model I need and he builds it.
Made from foam, just tail is from plain Balsa and it lasts for long. I am flying with it over 1.5 year and still doing very good. No major repairs needed.
Wingspan is 1.2m. Using re-winded Emax CF2812 engine, 20A esc, 7x6 prop, 1050mah 3s Rhino 40c (charge in 15min, 4A). Model weight is unknown 😃 It flies good. 😃
Actually i had few crashes yesterday, and just onces I’ve used hotglue, to put back video tx and camera (after I hit very hard into the tree)>

You are flying at low and high clouds, to produce a single model, or if you are different.
I use 2 airplanes. This one is small 1.2m wingspan without any osd or etc. just video tx, camera and gopro. Another one is bigger and has all autopilot and stabilization hardware… 😃
