The Beast is still in great demand by people the world over who want them. Maybe it is the scheme but most likely, it is the desire to have a connection to the full scale plane and Bryan. To be clear, the Beast trademark and copyright are my property and I licensed Bryan to use the marks and scheme on his full scale airshow airplane. I also licensed Horizon to use the marks and scheme on the RC models of the Beast. Bryan was never part of the RC model licensing process.

Bryan was my friend, not just a customer. He and I did have conversations about a time in the future that he would no longer fly airshows in the full scale Beast and how the RC models of it would allow the Beast to live on forever. He wanted the Beast to live on and he wanted it to continue to bring happiness to many if he ever moved on to other things. So, in my book, we not only honor my friend Bryan’s memory with RC models of the Beast, we honor Bryan’s desire to have the Beast live on in models.

The Viking scheme was created over a year AFTER the 60e Beast was given the “Go” at Horizon. I think the 60e Beast was more than a year into the process when began the full scale Viking program. (BTW, the Viking is the new scheme on the airplane formerly known as the Python. It is protected like our other schemes of Model 12 aircraft. Jacob, Mirco, Quique and I are all friends and we have discussed the future of the Viking Scheme beyond the 44% Model 12 Quique used at the Sun N Fun airshow. It may become popular too. We have to give it time to see.

Я в своем открытый снизу тоннель для выхлопа выкрасил в черный цвет. Снизу в полете теперь выглядит без больших фанерных пятен. В последствии пришлось усилить узел крепления стойки - крохотные уголки меньше чем на 50-ти кубовых и особо и не завязаны ни с чем. Были заменены на буковые бруски сечением 12 мм и длиной сантиметров до 20. Кстати, в новой хангаровской экстре (карден) так и сделано. Товарищ, который жил в штатах и там летал, рассказывал, что американцы в основном все крепят шасси винтами в бук без гаек (классически резьба с циакрином) - держит очень крепко, а если уж нештатно - просто выдернет.
